It's compact enough to take anywhere, but it's very powerful. I could stand comfortably in high heat and humidity for about 4-5 hours with it. I like the fact that you can hang it around your neck, and the ability to tilt the fan to blow air towards your face without holding it in your hand. The battery also lasts a long time. I would definitely buy one for my wife too.
